Kimberly A. Gaines, DVM
Dr. Kimberly Gaines is an alum of Caesar Rodney High School as well as the University of Delaware. She graduated Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 1999 and joined Forrest Avenue Animal Hospital in 2000. Dr. Gaines became a partial owner of FAAH in 2005, a majority owner in 2010 and sole owner in 2016 – until Dr. Robyn Lefort joined her as a minor owner in 2022. Dr. Gaines completed the small animal acupuncture course at the Chi Institute in Florida in 2010. She has been happily married to her husband, John, since 2001, has two daughters in college, Olivia and Vanessa, and a stepson, Ethan residing in Alabama. Dr. Gaines LOVES OUR COMMUNITY! She has been a parent volunteer for Westville 4H club for 15 years, is the Wreaths Across America coordinator for Mt. Olive Cemetery, on the Distinguished Young Women of Delaware fund raising committee, the treasurer of the Kent County 4H Park organization, the treasurer of the Delaware Veterinary Medical Association, the secretary of the Mt. Olive Cemetery trustees, the president of the Cow Marsh Baptist Church Cemetery Trustees, and faithfully attends Manship Chapel in Felton, DE. Dr. Gaines feels strongly that people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care! She is very blessed for her faith, family, and freedom.
